On saturday I was the wedding photographer for the lovely Lynn and Stephen as they celebrated their special day.
The wedding took place in the village of Petrockstowe where Lynn grew up in the beautiful church they have there, with the reception then being held at a nearby village called Langtree in the village hall.
I arrived at Lynn parents house at 10am where I was greeted by Leanne from Heavenly doing the makeup for 5 gorgeous bridesmaids and 1 equally gorgeous bride. Leanne is a great wedding makeup artist and I often see her at weddings. All the wedding party were surprisingly very relaxed with very few nerves, all just excited to be celebrating such an important day.
The bridesmaids wore lace dresses from the Monsoon wedding range. Two of the dresses were white lace with white silk underneath with a blue sash around the middle and the other three were blue lace with a purple silk underneath then with a purple silk sash. I loved these dresses, they complemented all the bridesmaids beautifully and they were dresses you can safely say they will wear again.
Lynn’s dress was perfect, with a tulle base and white lace covering the top that gradually came down the dress over the tulle. She then had a lovely lace semi cathedral vail.
The church was a two minute walk from the house so I was able to stay with Lynn until she was completely ready and about to go.
The ceremony took place at 12.30 and was led by the brilliant Sticklepath worship group.
Unfortunately once the service had finished the heavens had opened, but Lynn and Stephen’s young farmers group did brighten up their exit from the church, surprising them with pitch forks for a guard of honour departure outside the church.
Then onto the reception we went with the newly married couple going in a link box on the back of the tractor, with blue balloons tied on too!
In the evening they had a great band called ‘The Normals’ that they danced the night away to.
It was a perfect and beautiful day and one I was very happy to be part of!
