On Saturday we made our way to Cullompton to photograph the wedding of Hannah and Tom. The day began with us going to meet Hannah at one of the beautiful lodges at Upton Barn, a wedding venue new this year. Being a beautician Hannah did her own make-up as well as her Mums. Her dress was a stunning vintage dress, not one you usually see, however suited Hannah down to the ground along with her Grans veil.
The time soon came for us to go around the corner to Upton Barn itself to get some photos of the guests arriving. Hannah and Tom chose to have an outside ceremony within the walled garden and the weather couldn’t have been better for them. As the sun shone Hannah and her bridesmaid, flower girl (dressed in beautiful dusty pink) and both dad and Step-Dad walked down the lavender lined aisle to meet Tom.
After the ceremony we took photos of all their friends and family on the lawn, inside the rose-blooming walled garden, before taking the newly weds off to get some natural photos of them on the picturesque grounds of Upton Barn.
Later on they all sat down in the beautifully decorated barn conversion for the speeches and food. Tom and Hannah decided to have a hog roast which is a great idea if you have lots of guests. After their deserts, made by Tom’s Mum, it was time for their first dance. It was choreographed by a dance teacher to the song ‘Thinking out loud’ sung wonderfully by Hannah and Tom’s singer and band. They performed it amazingly and it got everyone dancing into the night.
We loved being a part of their special day.
