The morning of Emily and John’s Devon wedding began with us arriving at a very chilled and relaxed home of Emily’s Mum to take pictures of her and her three beautiful bridesmaids getting ready for the big day. Emily wore a simple, but stunning white dress from the Kate Walker collection with a long, lace veil and her bridesmaids were dressed in floor length black dresses made by Emily’s very talented Mum.
The ceremony was in Ashill church just a short walk up the road from the house (and yes, they did walk!!) The church was beautifully adorned with colourful flowers one of Emily’s bridesmaids Mercedes helped to arrange, and the expectations were high, with Emily being a florist!
With the church ceremony having flown by, the newly wedded Mr and Mrs Cottey made their way to ‘The Corn Barn’ (a beautiful chic wedding reception in Cullumpton – perfect for a devon wedding ) in a lovely little VW camper van.
After their delicious three course meal courtesy of …., final photos of the couple in the sunset, and an emotional dance with Emily and her Dad, the after party soon kicked off, especially with half their guests being young farmers!!
It was a magical day, one that I was very happy to be a part of.
