2014 is now over and I can honestly say it could not have been better!
I had some amazing moments that I will never forget: it certainly was the year I got Emily Fleur Photography better known, being published in not only local newspapers but also national magazines. I was recognised as one of the top 10 young entrepreneurs in the UK for the Jack Wills Young Brit awards, and it took me to a whole new platform of people to meet and also photograph.
As a Devon wedding photographer I make a real breakthrough when I had a stand at West Point Wedding Fair which was a really big deal for me: I have always loved going to this Fair and seeing the amazing photographers who exhibit there but I never thought for a second I would be there with my own stand next to them so soon.
I’ve met some amazing people who are now among my closest friends, all because of running this business that can only be described as a dream!
In total I did 131 photo shoots taking me to almost every inch of Devon throughout 2014. These were mainly of families but increasingly also of companies too. I love doing 1 hour photo shoots, here there and everywhere as I get the chance to see so many different places and meet such a range of people and businesses.
As well as 131 photo shoots, I had 27 weddings that took me all over Devon and even into Cornwall. They are all brilliant memories now, every single one helped me grow even further, which means I can now run this business better than ever.
I have made a video from a selection of wedding photos from 2014 you can take a look at that here..
I have 35 weddings currently booked for 2015, so it is set to be another exciting and even busier year!
What amazing opportunities will pop up in 2015? I don’t know! All I know is I am ready to learn new skills, meet new people and say yes to as many exciting new adventures as I possibly can!
Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am and I hope to see you all again in 2015.
