On saturday I had the wedding of Christie and Barry Madge.
I first met them both when I photographed Christie’s cousins wedding which was my very first wedding back in 2012. It was lovely to see all the Ewen family again at the wedding after seeing them all numerous times through out the last three years at various events.
Christie and Barry booked me after I did family photos for them when they had their little boy Ruan. Since then I have loved getting to know them better and hearing about their exciting wedding plans.
The wedding day started with myself going to meet Christie at Lewtrenchard Manor to photograph herself, her mum and all her bridesmaids. Whilst Amy my wonderful apprentice went off and photographed Bary and the boys .
When the time finally came for Christie to meet Barry at the alter of All waits church Okehampton, filled with nerves and excitement walked down the aisle in a beautiful lace dress following her seven bridesmaids dressed in grey.
After the ceremony we made our way to The Deer Park, Honiton a place where as Devon Wedding Photographers we love to take pictures at. It offers a large lawn perfect for family and group photos of the wedding party as well as picturesque spots for photos of the bride and groom.
The wedding breakfast and speeches were in the beautifully decorated reception room. where Christie and Barry’s buttercup yellow and grey theme was continued.
The evening started with an incredible first dance that was choreographed but a local dance teacher. Christie’s dress from The Ivory Secret looked perfect throughout the dance with the way it hung off her perfectly. Everyone loved their dance and they both did s well remembering the routine and clearly loving it; smiling the whole way through.
We loved being part of this awesome day and would love to do it all again.
