Wet yet beautiful weddings here in Devon. What a weekend we have had with two weddings over Easter weekend so of course the wether was going to inevitably be wet however this did not matter in the slightest to either of our wonderful couples!

Our first wedding was on Thursday 24th at The Horn of Plenty, Tavistock. The day started for both of us heading over there and arriving to find Natalie (The Bride) Her mum and sister all having a lovely morning drinking champagne and having their hair and makeup done by Joy’s Moblie Hairdressing. Brad (Groom) was also getting ready there so it was easy for Amy to be photographing them too at the same time!

The ceremony was beautiful with the bridal party walking down the aisle to the lovely sound of a harp playing… Natalie and Brad’s three sons stood very proud all with tears in their eyes as they witnessed their parents saying the vows and promising to love one another forever.

The horn of plenty was the perfect venue for their wonderful day. After the ceremony they had drinks and canapés whilst we took the group photos inside in the same room they got married which provided the perfect backdrop.

The room was dressed in a easter theme for their meal, and the cake defiantly had a Easter twist to it too! After their meal and speeches it was time for the band to set up and it was great to see I Love Amp again who are a brilliant band that aren’t only great musicians but also all lovely people too!

We left after the first dance and popped off to a young farmers party at Winkleigh -Who said we can’t still have a social life as well?!

On Saturday we had our second wedding of the weekend. This was a superb traditional wedding, with the ceremony at Crediton Congregational Church and then followed on by the reception at The Fox and Hounds, Eggesford.

Clarissa and Jamie met at a fun netball match that I was also at about 2 years ago! From then they were soon inseparable and became a great couple.

Clarissa got ready at her family home along with her four bridesmaids and then they all made their way to the church whilst Amy photographed Jamie and his groomsmen also arriving at the church in a Tractor!

The ceremony was lovely with a live band and a packed church, we did a big group photo in the church after as there was a balcony, so this was easy to do.

They started married life by setting off in the Tractor after making their way (slowly) to The Fox and Hounds. We did group photos there on their beautiful stairs and even managed to get a couple outside too!

For their evening do, they had a band too! I have never seen them before so was great to hear a new band.

We were defiantly a little tired after two weddings and a party so didn’t go out after this time!

What a brilliant Easter weekend we had and wish both couples a lovely married life together.

Best Wishes

Emily & Amy
