What to wear to a wedding as a photographer

What to wear to a wedding as a photographer? This is something that when I started doing wedding photography I would google time and time again and couldn’t find any answers! Truth is there is no real answer, but you need to dress for the part! I took the approach of wearing something that made you blend in as a guest yet comfortable and easy enough to be wearing all day running here there and everywhere! Amy and I both feel looking presentable is just as important as taking good photos, because you are a walking talking business card at

Kate and Richard’s, Calverleigh Wedding

Kate and Richard’s Calverleigh wedding, was absolutely faultless. With their ceremony in the church and then the reception in the village hall there too. They had decorated the village hall delightfully and showed how wonderful a Calverleigh wedding can be! I feel their wedding revealed that with a little hard work why spend a lot of money on a wedding venue when you’re local village hall can be just as brilliant. Kate and her bridesmaids got ready at her parents house and had a great makeup artist as well as the wonderful Laura Bukin as their hair dresser. The bridesmaids wore

Are we too young?

‘You two are too young to be photographers’ This is a line that occasionally is said to Amy and I at weddings. Yes we are 17 and 19 but does that mean we have any less ability than someone older? Plus sides, we are young so have more energy, to do a full on 12 hour day of constant smiling and being adaptable. We can move quickly, so when you suddenly need something or a image the other side of a field arrises we are there. Our joints can cope with being in one position for over half an hour,

Accommodating photographers

Wanting accommodating photographers? Recently I saw this image on Pinterest. This really surprised me and made me think, is this something a lot of you struggle with and why? What are you wanting from a photographer? Here at EFP we like to think we adapt to our couples and do our very best to do what it is that you require, being flexible isn’t something we feel we need to do but something we want to do. I would like to say we do what you want, and aren’t too structured but now i’m not so sure? I’m defiantly not saying ‘Book

Mr & Mrs Prout – First April Wedding

Saturday was our first april wedding of the year and oh boy it was a good’un! The wedding of Charlotte and Daniel was at Trevenna, St Neot. Trevenna is Wedding Venue complex of barn conversations with a brilliant back drop of Bodmin Moor. There is plenty of space there of guests to stay as well as rooms for the ceremony and reception. Charlotte had 4 bridesmaids and 1 flower girl. The bridesmaids wore mint dresses with coral wraps, these looked great in the photographs and went well for a spring wedding. Charlotte wore a lace and silk dress with beautiful mint

2/48 weddings done of 2016 for a Devon Wedding Photographer

On saturday we had our second wedding of the year, at Woodbury Park. Saturday morning was chilly but it was perfect weather to be a Devon Wedding photographer with light cloud and no rain! The day started for us, 12am at Sam’s mothers house in Exmouth. We arrived to a very relaxed house with Sam, her mum, and bridesmaids all pretty much ready and just having a chilled morning. Sam wore a beautiful white silk dress with a lovely lace back and her bridesmaids in royal blue Coast dresses. Amy popped off early to get to the church that was also in Exmouth so not too

Mr & Mrs Milton at Muddifords Court

On saturday we had our first wedding of the year, at Muddifords Court Country House, Cullompton. After the winter we’ve had of rain, rain and more rain the chance that saturday would be a beautiful sunny day was highly unlikely! However saturday morning we woke to find it was going to be a lovely day with constant sunshine and blue skies! The day started for us, 10am at Kat’s fathers house in Brampford Speke. We arrived to women getting ready here there and everywhere, in just about every room of the house. Kat had 5 bridesmaids and 1 flower

My Story as a young entrepreneur

Here is my Story as a young entrepreneur. Being a young entrepreneur in Devon has got to be one of the best jobs there is, I’d recommend running a business to anyone who is happy to put in a lot of hard work. Recently I’ve had a lot of people asking about my business and how I managed to set it up. I have so many young people thinking it’s impossible to start a business off their own back, because of the way schools make it seem a ridiculous idea and they won’t succeed. I decided I’d write down from

2015 ‘Our favourite image’

2015 weddings are nothing more than distant memories now, We had such a great year and loved the variety of weddings we got to photograph. Memories from a wedding are kept alive through the images captured, and our aim photographing every wedding is to capture the true feeling of the day, natural photography is key to our style and this is clearly popular with our couples comments.  I asked my 2015 couples if they could let me know there favourite image and why it was. Below are the photos and comments I received.       We have so many favourite photo’s
